Last Words

Helpless, young soldiers         dying - dropping like flies          by my side.

 Horrid, eerie gunpowder fills my  nostrils.

The ear piercing bang as the trigger is pulled.

The thump on my bruised and battered chest as a                 bullet hits me.

Bitter, rose red blood filling my mouth as I hit the ground.

I think my body has played its last hand and lost.
